INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORKING WITH THE KARDIONET

Work with diagnostic and prognostic system KARDIONET is carried out in three stages. At the first stage, using the menu item "Self-examination" starts a neural network designed for a novice patient who does not have medical education and experience in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. In the menu "General information" and "History of life" the user is prompted to enter 27 parameters: date of birth, age, sex, height, weight, blood group, the presence of bad habits (Smoking, alcohol, drugs), sports, morning exercise, previous illness, their presence in relatives, complaints, etc.

Based on these data, KARDIONET makes a preliminary diagnosis in the form of a histogram of eight columns, the height of each of which reflects the degree of development (in percent) of the corresponding disease of the cardiovascular system: MI - myocardial infarction, SA - stable angina, UA - unstable angina, IHD-ischemic heart disease, H -hypertension, AHB - arrhythmias and heart blockades, CHF - chronic heart failure, AHF - acute heart failure.

At this stage, the user has the opportunity, by changing the indicator of his age, to make a forecast of the development of detected diseases for future periods of life, as well as to see how and how much these forecasts will change in case of lifestyle changes, for example, Smoking cessation and/or alcohol consumption. The user can see how his state of health will change in the next 5, 10, 15 or more years, if he does morning gymnastics, sports, will observe a hypo cholesterol diet, get fat, or Vice versa.

If the user has a medical education, or if he has been treated many times, if he has some medical data about the state of his health. In this case, he can proceed to the second stage (menu item), called "Primary survey". At this stage, the user is prompted to enter an additional 22 parameters: palpation of the pulse, blood pressure, obesity, skin color, electrocardiography data, etc., after which KARDIONET exposes a refined diagnosis, taking into account this additional information.

Finally, in the third stage, designed to work in a specialized cardio-medical institution, using the menu item "Special examination", the user is prompted to enter another 20 parameters, with the results of echocardiography, coronary angiography, General and biochemical blood tests, etc. Thus, KARDIONET exposes the final diagnosis taking into account 69 parameters of the patient.

Additional comment. Prediction of the emergence of new diseases and their development over time can be performed only within the first stage of "Self-examination", and it is better to do it under the guidance of a representative of the KARDIONET project.
